COURSE SYPNOSIS

This module is designed to provide participants the ability to apply the knowledge and skills in maintaining the food and beverages service environment. It also includes cleaning, wiping, resetting tables and more.

Upon completion of this unit, participants will be able to apply them at the workplace which include:

  1. Follow standard operating procedure for cleaning and sanitizing food and beverages service.
  2. Demonstrate skills and techniques in performing housekeeping and closing duties.
  3. Demonstrate compliance to the legal requirements and organizational procedures in maintaining the food and beverages service environment.
  4. Work independently as well as in team by using effective communication tools and techniques for peer learning in the workplace and to create positive relationships with customers and co-workers.
  5. Reflect on their strengths and weaknesses to gain self-awareness, and new insights of self and practice.

Course Details

  1. Have a basic understanding of the organisation’s product and service offering in F&B
  2. Have a basic understanding of the organization’s structure, standard operating procedures and guidelines on F&B service
  3. Be able to speak, listen and read English at a proficiency level not lower than the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification (ES WSQ) Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 3
  4. One year working experience preferred at the F&B or Hospitality sector
  5. Basic knowledge on the legislative requirements on the F&B or Hospitality

  • Written Assessment (Case Study)
