COURSE SYPNOSIS

At the end of the training, the learner should be able to assess casualty
and recognize the need for first aid response and evaluate the situation and
seek assistance from emergency response services

Upon completion of this unit, participants will be able to apply them at the workplace which include:

  1. Learner will be able to define the basic first aider’s roles, responsibility and emergency action principles.
  2. Learner will be able to describe the human anatomy and physiology, respiratory, nervous and skeletal system.
  3. Learner will be able to explain the importance of quick response for medical emergencies.
  4. Learner will be able to assess the casualty through symptoms and recognize the need for first aid response.

Course Details

  1. Have a basic understanding of the medical first aider and safety
  2. Have a basic understanding of the organization’s structure, standard operating procedures and guidelines on workplace safety
  3. Be able to speak, listen and read English at a proficiency level not lower than the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification (ES WSQ) Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 3
  4. One year working experience preferred at the F&B or Hospitality sector
  5. Basic knowledge on the legislative requirements on the F&B or Hospitality
